Huang Aiping

Huang Aiping, female, graduated from the Department of Chinese Literature of Peking University in 1981 with a BA degree, from the Institute of Qing History of Renmin University of China in 1984 with an MA degree in history and in 1987 with PhD degree. She is now the professor at the Institute of Qing History of Renmin University of China and tutor in the PhD program. She is the deputy director of the Institute of Qing History, a key research base listed by the State Ministry of Education, member of history group of philosophy and social sciences in Beijing during the 10th five-year-plan, member of the Academy Committee at the Historiography History and Theory Research Center in Beijng Normal University, member of the council of China Yanhuang Cultural Research Institute and the deputy secretary of the general Academy Committee, member of the council of Beijing Society of History, member of the editorial board of Yanhuang Culture Studies.
She majors in the research of the history of Qing Dynasty, the history of academic research, the history of ideology and culture, especially the research on academic ideology and culture in Qing Dynasty. She is also engaged in the collection and compiling of historic classics and ancient books.
She publishes 10 research books and over 100 theses, among which the majors one include: Study of the Compiling and Revision of Complete Library in the Four Branches of Literature (Renmin University Press, 1989 and 2001), Academic Research and Culture in Qing Dynasty (co-author, Liaoning Education Publishing House, 1993), Ideology, China and World in the 18th Century (Liaohai Publishing House, 1999), Commentary History of Academy and Culture in Qing Dynasty (co-author, Taiwan Wenjin Publishing House, 1999), Confucian Studies and the Society of Qing Dynasty (Hebei People’s Publishing House, 2003).
She won the title of Graduate with PhD Degree and Outstanding Contributions awarded by Renmin University of China in 1991, the Young Teacher Award (Research) of 4th Session of High Education Institution by Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation in 1993, Excellent Human Studies Talent of Two Centuries in 1997 awarded by the State Ministry of Education. Her Study of the Compiling and Revision of Complete Library in the Four Branches of Literature won her many awards as the Excellent Academic Book by the Renmin University of China, the award at the second Session of Excellent Social Science Achievements in Beijing, at the 1st Session of Best Ancient Books after Compilation in China, at the 1st Session of Excellent Books in National High Education Institutions, and at the 1st Session of Excellent Human Studies Achievements in National High Education Institutions. Her Ideology and Culture, China and World in the 18th Century won her several awards at the 6th Session of Beijing Excellent Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences, Excellent Book Award of Wu Yuzhang Human Studies and Social Sciences . Her Confucian Studies and the Society of Qing Dynasty won her the Excellent Achievements Award at the 8th Session Beijing Philosophy and Social Sciences Evaluation.
She is now engaged in the research program of Collection of Beijing Historical Materials Based on Actual Records in Qing Dynasty, a key project of Beijing philosophy and social science studies during the 10th five-year-plan.
