Pan Xiangming |
Pan Xiangming, male and was born in 1951, associate professor of the Institute of Qing History at the Renmin University of China. He majors in the history of politics and military of modern China as well as the religious history in Xinjiang during the Qing Dynasty.
Main Publications: Chronicle of Qing Dynasty (Volume 11), “Research on the Khwajas in Xinjiang during Qing Dynasty,” “On the Sea Battle on the Yellow Sea during Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895,” “National Security Strategy Mistakes of Qing Government during 10 Years before Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895,” “Discussion of Several Issues on Islamism Schools in Xinjiang during the Qing Dynasty,” “On Religious Policies of Qing Government in Southern region in Xinjiang.” Chronicle of Qing Dynasty (Volume 11) won the first prize at the 7th Session of Beijing Philosophy and Social Sciences Excellent Achievements in 2002; “On the Sea Battle on the Yellow Sea during Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895” was awarded the Excellent Academic Achievements of Renmin University of China in 1998.
He is now in charge of the research on the treatment of an Islamic school of Yichan by local government in Xinjiang during modern times and undertakes the task of research and writing of historical tables assigned by the National Editorial Committee of the History of the Qing Dynasty.
