Qi Meiqin

Qi Meiqin, female and born in 1964, studied from 1987 to 1990 at the Department of History of Central University for Nationalities, majoring in the history of Mongolia and graduated with an MA degree in history. She studied the history of Manchu nationality and of the Qing Dynasty at the Department of History of Central University for Nationalities from 1993 to 1996 and graduated with a PhD degree. She is now the associate professor at the Institute of Qing History of Renmin University of China and tutors MA program.
Her research focuses on the history of the Qing Dynasty and the history of nationalities in border area.
Her main publications include: Imperial Household Department of Qing Dynasty (Renmin University Press1998), Research on Taxation System in the Qing Dynasty (Inner Mongolia University Press, 2004). She is now engaged in the compiling of Historical Events Table in Qing Dynasty (two volumes of Before Stepping over Great Wall and the Reign under Emperor Qianlong) of the third-grade project assigned by the National Editorial Committee of the History of the Qing Dynasty.
She is also the deputy editor-in-chief of Studies in Qing History and the member of the council of the Society of Mongolia History.
