Cheng Chongde

Cheng Chongde, male, born in 1949 in Qi County of Shanxi Province, Han nationality, professor of the Institute of Qing History of Renmin University of China, Ph.D in history.
Experience:
1978, graduated from the Department of Mongolian Studies in Inner Mongolia University
1978, teacher at the Institute of Qing History of Renmin University of China
1986, director of the section of History in Early Qing Dynasty at the Institute of Qing History
1989, deputy director of the Institute of Qing History
1998, obtained Ph.D degree in history granted by Renmin University of China
1993 till now, director of the Institute of Qing History
2002 - 2005, head of the Department of History and vice dean of the College of Humanities

Deputy Director ofThe National Committee for the Compilation of Qing History
Member of council and chairman of China Society of Mongolian History Studies
Director of Academic Committee at the Institute of Qing History
Research Projects:
1. 1996 till today, he is the person-in-charge of the sub-project of History of Qing Dynasty, a Project 211 of the State Ministry of Education.
2. 2001 till today, he undertakes the national key research base project of Formation of National Territory in Qing Dynasty.
3. 2002 till today, he undertakes the sub-project of Mongolia in the project of the History of Chinese National Legal System sponsored by State Social Sciences Fund.
4. In 2003, undertakes the project of editing the History of Qing Dynasty.
