In June 2-3, the distinguished scholar in Qing history, Professor Benjamin A. Elman from Princeton University visited and made two lectures, one was titled “Who Should be Responsible for the Limitation of the Transmission of Science and Technology from Europe to China?”, the other was on “Conception of China in 18^th Century Japan”. Prof. Elman has been appointed to be the Guest Professor of The Institute of Qing History.
