From 23 to 26 May 2013, an international conference on “Disasters Wet and Dry” was held in Beijing. Scholars from Chinese Academy of Social Science, Beijing University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Fudan University, Harvard University, Yale University and other institutes attended the conference and they presented 30 essays. Vice-President of RUC Yang Huilin and Professor Sun Jiazhou delivered welcome speeches.
